Colle del Nivolet, a splendid peak in Piedmont, beckons motorcyclists with its breathtaking panoramic road. Although it can be considered a closed route due to the missing connection to Valle d'Aosta, it remains one of the most cherished passes for bikers. The journey is a must for anyone seeking thrilling hairpin bends and awe-inspiring vistas on their motorcycle.

This road to Colle del Nivolet ascends to an elevation of 2,612 meters within the Grand Paradis National Park. Access to the pass begins with SSP 460, leading to Ceresole Reale (TO), where the enchanting Lake Ceresole awaits. Continuing past Ceresole, the route winds for about twenty kilometers, ascending a thousand meters to reach the pass. Along the way, it skirts two artificial lakes, Lake Serrù and Lake Agnel, which serve for electricity generation. After traversing the pass, the road ends just beyond Rifugio Albergo Savoia, on the Valle d'Aosta side.

Colle del Nivolet is renowned for its vast meadows dotted with numerous ponds and peat bogs, traversed by the Dora del Nivolet. The pass is famous for its pristine alpine lakes. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot chamois, ibexes, marmots, as well as various amphibians and birds.

Useful Information: In the summer, the road is open only up to Lake Serrù. From there, a shuttle takes you to the end of the final stretch. We recommend checking the National Park Authority's website or calling for precise information before your journey.
